Raised in Winston Salem, North Carolina by his grandparents, Patrick D. Walker is an awardwinning first-generation college graduate with over 20 years of combined expertise in management, business law, educational and organizational leadership, and corporate & community engagement. In August 2018, Patrick will join the faculty at Indiana University – Bloomington. For over 12 years, he has served as a Professor of Business Law and Management at universities within St. Louis, Missouri and Hampton Roads, Virginia regions. Distinctions and honors include: 2017 Lindenwood Student Government Association Professor of the Year Award, 2016 Lindenwood University Professor of the Year Service Award, the inaugural 2016 St. Francis Community Services Symbol of Hope Award, and the 2014 Emerson Electric Company Professor of the Year Award for teaching excellence. Patrick will join the faculty at Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs in August 2018. As CoFounder and CEO of a thriving business consulting firm (Your Consulting Group, LLC), Patrick has conducted training and evaluations for local and national nonprofit organizations, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies as they navigate through critical management and legal decision-making processes. He has also facilitated diversity and inclusion training sessions for and through The Boeing Company, Diversity Awareness Partnership, Edward Jones Investment Company, and Walmart. Patrick serves on several boards in the St. Louis region which include Community Council of St. Charles County, Empower Missouri, Gateway Science Academy, Nonprofit Missouri, and Youth in Need.
